J & D Outfitters is a family-owned business. Since 1998 we have had exclusive caretaker and hunting rights to thousands of acres of private mountain ranches, as well as ranches across the Eastern plains of Colorado. To provide the highest quality hunts and exceptional harvest opportunities, we closely manage our number of hunters and the harvest of animals.
We offer trophy elk, trophy mule deer, pronghorn, turkey and bighorn sheep hunts throughout Colorado in Game Management Units 2, 10, 11, S34, 59, 64, 104, 105, 106, 110 and 201. We also conduct Ranching For Wildlife hunts on two separate ranches in units 3, 4, 12 and 13 located in the Northwest corner of Colorado. Our ranches are surrounded by other private ranches, National Forest, state or BLM lands. Elevation in our hunting areas ranges from 6,500 to 10,000 feet.
Doyle Worbington, owner of J & D Outfitters and Guide Service, is a wildlife biologist who brings over 35 years of guiding experience to you…the dedicated HUNTER and OUTDOORSMAN. He is licensed, bonded and insured through the state of Colorado. He is a life member of Safari Club International, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Mule Deer Foundation. He is also a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, National Rifle Association and Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society. He has spent countless days in the outdoors enjoying hunting, fishing and trapping since childhood.
A retired Army Ranger, Doyle has had one main childhood dream: to be an outfitter in the Rocky Mountains. Once he started guiding and doing animal nuisance control work in Georgia and North Carolina, he was hooked. The main goal at J & D Outfitters is to offer you a quality hunting and outdoor experience. Although he can’t guarantee you an animal, he can guarantee you an honest hunt and 110% effort and hard work from his staff.
Hunting Package… All hunts include:
- Transportation to and from the nearest airport
- Transportation in and around hunting area
- Lodging accommodations
- Home-cooked meals
- 2 on 1 guiding (unless otherwise stated)
- Transporting your trophy to our local taxidermist
- Meat storage and transport to processor
